International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award shortlist

       It's international fiction prize shortlist week ! Tomorrow the Best Translated Book Award releases its shortlist, on Thursday it's the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize's turn.
       First up, however, is the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, and from 154 nominations they've reduced the list to a shortlist of ten, which they've now announced.
       Several of these titles are under review at the complete review:

• The Map and the Territory by Michel Houellebecq
• 1Q84 by Murakami Haruki
• The Faster I Walk, the Smaller I am by Kjersti A. Skomsvold
• [Caesarion (published in the US as, sigh, Little Caesar) by Tommy Wieringa.]

       None of the shortlisted titles is on the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize longlist (and hence also won't be on their shortlist), but the Houellebecq is also on the BTBA longlist, so it has a chance to make that shortlist, too.
