UEA 50th Anniversary

       The University of East Africa was a short-lived institution, founded in 1963 and then split into the University of Nairobi, University of Dar es Salaam, and Makerere University in 1970, but it was a tremendously influential institution, and today they're holding University of East Africa 50th Anniversary Celebrations at Makerere University, with a keynote address by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o.
