At their weblog they have the great news that Tor Books to Release The Three-Body Problem, the First Chinese Science Fiction Novel Translated Into English.
Okay, it's hardly the first translated-from-the-Chinese science fiction (see, for example, The City Trilogy by Chang Hsi-Kuo), but it's still great to hear.
I've mentioned Liu Cixin [刘慈欣] and his trilogy [三体-trilogy] before, and it will be interesting to see how this does in the US; obviously, with established science fiction publisher Tor behind it, that has got to help a lot.
For a sample of his work, see the excerpt from Ball Lightning at Words without Borders.
