Assises internationales du roman

       They held the eighth edition of les Assises internationales du roman -- the International Forum on the Novel -- at the Villa Gillet last week; disappointingly, there doesn't seem to have been much English language coverage, despite an international guest-list that included a number of English-writing authors.
