Bookselling in France

       In The New York Times Pamela Druckerman has an op-ed suggesting The French Do Buy Books. Real Books. noting that bookselling In France isn't quite like in the US. Notably, there are more bookstores -- and there's less discounting. And, she suggests:
What underlies France's book laws isn't just an economic position -- it's also a worldview. Quite simply, the French treat books as special.
       Sounds good to me.
