Translating A True Novel

       I was very impressed by Mizumura Minae's A True Novel last year, and via I'm now pointed to a post by Avery Fischer Udagawa at the SCBWI Japan Translation Group weblog, where translator Juliet Winters Carpenter offers One Passage, Seven Translations - Minae Mizumura from a translation workshop. Always fascinating to see different renderings of the same passage.
