French prize: Prix Renaudot

       Second-fiddle to the Goncourt, but still prestigious, the prix Renaudot has gone to Charlotte by David Foenkinos.
       I haven't sen this, so I probably should reserve judgment, but ... sheesh. See also the Gallimard publicity page.
       Le Figaro reports that even before the prize it had been, with 56,600 copies sold, the third-biggest of this year's 'rentrée'-releases, behind Le Royaume by Emmanuel Carrère and Pétronille by Amélie Nothomb
