Nicanor Parra awarded Premio Cervantes

       They've announced that poet Nicanor Parra has won the leading Spanish-language author prize, the Premio Cervantes (apparently they were unwilling to wait another three years, when Parra would have reached an even 100). Roberto Bolaño -- among many others -- was a huge fan and would surely be pleased.
