Despite the precariousness of being under this constant threat of censorship however, the popular novels knowns littattafan soyayya continue to thrive today, providing a source of entertainment for a wide and growing audience.(Disappointingly, I haven't come across any examples of littattafan soyayya in translation yet; there are, however, numerous works of Onitsha market literature under review at the complete review; Kurt Thometz's collection, Life Turns Man Up and Down is a good place to start.)
