Some three months ago I reported on the news that Culture Ministry mulling publication of The Colonel in Iran and now it appears the day might really be at hand for Mahmoud Dowlatabadi's The Colonel to reach Iranian audiences, as IBNA report that Dowlatabadi's The Colonel to be Released in Iran, as IBNA spoke with Dowlatabadi himself and -- hurrah ! --:
He said the book is about to be published in Iran presently.(Of course since the article isn't entirely accurate -- Haus published it, but in English, and in 2011; it first appeared, in German, from Unionsverlag, in 2009 -- nothing should be taken as certain; still .....)
